A few years ago, I bought the rights to sell NameRazor software. And I sold a ton of it.
In fact, I sold over 10,000 copies online. Here’s how I did it…
I built a website with a blog and put up a couple of pages where you could buy the software. Then I started advertising with Google AdWords.
At first, I wasn’t having a lot of success. Then I went to a seminar in Dallas. Perry Marshall spoke.
In the seminar, he taught his secrets to using AdWords. I bought his book. Then I put it to work….
Since NameRazor reseller rights were only $300, it seemed like everyone and his brother was selling it.
I didn’t sell much at first. But I kept working my Google AdWords campaign. Tweaking it.
I was fighting against all these other people selling the same software. They were using Google AdWords too.
I kept testing different headlines and different ads until my cost to get an order dropped.
Soon my competitors started disappearing. And my internet cash register was ringing several times a day.
Like I said before, I ended up selling over 10,000 copies of that software before I finally pulled the plug on it.
That experience taught me a lot of great lessons. First, invest in training. It always pays off in the long run.
Second (and probably the most important lesson) was to keep making improvements.
I could easily have been discouraged with AdWords and quit. But I didn’t. I kept at it. Kept getting better.
And boy did it pay off.
Of course this email doesn’t go into everything I did. You can find out more in my book, Website Success.
